Article (link below) stating that Rugby ROC has now been handed over to Network Rail. Does anybody know if an official opening ceremony involving local dignitaries etc is planned similar to those at Three Bridges , Manchester and York? Or is Rugby still "the one they dont talk about" ? !:wink...

Fairly recently Network Rail confirmed that the number of proposed Rail Operating Centres (ROCs) would be reduced to 12, by the dropping of Saltley and Ashford. In a recent Railway Magazine article, it appears that Ashford was to be reprieved and Gillingham was being dropped instead! However...
