Also note quite a few services to Newcastle that call at Lea Green are additionally calling at Newton-le-Willowa.
Now 2 years behind schedule and a year since construction works were completed, but still no end in sight.
This is from a news article for the St Helens Star.
Is the service between Chester to Leeds (via Newton le Willows) being discontinued?
Upon checking on the Northern website, they no longer appear to be showing from Saturday 3rd May and onwards
Got an all zone Merseytravel Saveaway this morning from my local train station which is printed in a rail ticket from.

I'm booked on the 0700 service this coming Friday which is scheduled to stop only at Stockport then non-stop to London Euston.
Just for curiosity, does this service go via the Stoke on Trent or the Crewe route?
I refer to the service that runs via St Helens Junction that is frequently subject to cancellation.
This service was already cancelled this week on Monday, Tuesday and I'm now today.
What's the point of this diagram due to the poor running of it.
Need some advice here.
I lost my Merseytravel rail-only 12 month season ticket a couple of months ago as it seemed to have fallen out of my pocket.
I was issued a replacement and was not charged an admin fee.
Unfortunately, I appear to have someone lost the duplicate ticket now.
Would I...
Anyone know what is happening with the new station building and car park at Lea Green station on Merseyside?
It appears progress over the last few weeks has come to a standstill.

Just asking how this working came to be, given that Avanti Voyagers are almost exclusive to London...
I am booked on a train to London from Runcorn next Friday (4th December) and when coming to pick up the tickets yesterday (I came via Picow Farm Road and the M56) noted that the road appeared to be closed off for road works.
It appears that the car park on Holloway was shut and the multi story...

What exactly was the Operation Princess story?
Seems that more services of late that are usually booked for 319's and 323's are 2 car DMU's.
The 1528 Liverpool to Crewe on Thursday was just a 2 car 156 that was so badly packed staff could not let everyone on.
Today's 1645 Liverpool to Wigan and 1700 Liverpool to Earlestown are also 2 car...
Whilst on a LM service from Liverpool to Birmingham on Saturday (the very last day of the LM franchise) and upon passing the sidings just short of Crewe station, I noticed a Class 345 unit.
Any idea what it was doing there?
Came across a couple of articles where they are looking to use these once Preston to Blackpool is wired.

Not sure if it is just me, but it seems services to Liverpool via Chat Moss seem to be going a bit slower and stopping in between stations more.
Anyone else feel this is the case?
