the Bakerloo's 72 stock is worn out and the Central Line's 92 stock seems to be unreliable or taking forever to refurb - why not use refurbed 92 stock on the Bakerloo and bite the bullet and order / lease new stock for the Central?
Just back from Germany and it has made me realise just how good the trains are in the UK!
Virtually every train was delayed or cancelled with delays of 45 mins to an hour being the norm on ICEs and that was when they turned up.

Having read the thread on additional trains for LNER I was wondering if it would be easier to just make a uniformed fleet of 9 car units by extending the 5 cars.
Yes there will be a lot of fresh air carried on lines like Harrogate but would this not be cheaper and easier than a new micro fleet?
