Rather amused this morning to see the 0946 Avonmouth to Weston-super-Mare was partially cancelled after Bristol TM due to "Due to the planned train being replaced with a slower train (MS)."
Given this train then proceeds after Bristol to call at every all stations to WSM including Bedminster...
Just checking the TfL status and the Picc is part suspended between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to "difficult track conditions", yet the Met is quite happily going along the very same stretch of track.
This is nothing new I appreciate ... I guessed what the reason was when I saw it.
Couple...
Due to engineering work in the Northampton area, many trains have been removed from the timetable today (Sun 10 Sep 23) - no LNWR services out of Euston to the West Midlands / TV Line before 1pm. As a result, southbound services were also affected and very overcrowded.
On the 1427 Rugby -...
What a total shambles for LNWR today…
Trying to get to Rugby today.
The 0924 Euston to Birmingham cancelled
The next train past Northampton was supposed to the 1001.. also cancelled.
Advice was to get the 0955 train to Northampton (which was standing to sardine level) and wait 50 minutes...
Sky News are reporting that there is going to a halt to franchises during the Coronavirus

Couple of weeks ago I was in the delightful Weston-Super-Mare and had a return ticket booked on the 1927 back to Paddington (starts at Taunton).
Only because I decided to check before hand on RTT did I find that that service was cancelled due to crew issues and found an alternative service...
Hello all.
I have seen a few times on RTT that there is a 0200 bus service from Euston to Milton Keynes Central on a Sunday morning.
This would certainly save on a hotel Saturday night but not sure if they always run and where they stop at Euston.
Has anyone ever caught this or has any info...
Hello all.
Out of interest, when was the bay platform at Hemel used? I see it every day but having only lived here for a couple of years, I've never seen anything in it.
Can anyone give me some idea when it was last used for? Is it part of the old Lickey line to St Albans or was it in...
EMT 1D07 (0701 St Pancras to Nottingham) hit by a bird south of Bedford (BDM) en route to Nottingham.
Train terminated at BDM due to badly damaged windscreen.
Will post photo later. Must have hit with some force.
Looks like 426W has hit a person at Hemel Hempstead around 1430.
Thoughts involved to everyone.
Not sure what (if anything ) is moving through there ... but that's where I'm heading right now.
I have just moved to the Eutopian paradise that is Hemel and it appears that in order to catch a train to Euston, I get the choice between getting screwed for a ticket and getting screwed for a ticket.
Every off-peak ticket to London is £13.60. This is the cost if I walk to the station right...
Hello all - apologies if this idea has already been floated, punctured, shot several times and buried under the new Crossrail station at Canary Wharf....
How easy would it be to have a searchable site (that looks like RTT, as an example) but would contain historical timetable details...
All.
Firstly, apologies if there is a better place for this to go - Mods, please move if this is the case.
I was interested in Cross-TOC acceptance of tickets when there are problems.
Yesterday, I was at Three Bridges waiting for the 0757 to London Bridge. Due to flooding it was...
Anyone seen this on Sky News / News 24?
Shots showing the fire across the NLL just before Camden Road station.
Going to cause hell across the north of the capital tonight !
Eyewitnesses say that the rail bridge over the NLL is on fire
Are the good people at FCC having an issue with available rolling stock at the moment ?
I ask this for two reasons.
1) If there was any other reason for putting just 1 four car unit on the 0620 Brighton - Bedford (via Tulse Hill) service then they deserve a slap ! It's normally 8 cars...
