Anybody else on here had any contact this week regarding an October course? I have been offered a position following my application that began in 2019, I applied for Eastleigh.

Just had it confirmed by FL HR that the October group for Eastleigh vacancies is indeed for Intermodal and not HH.

Bournemouth. My understanding is a couple of internal people applied too which made the 1 vacancy even harder to get!

Well you might be ok as I got an email 10 days after mine to say I was unsuccessful. I do think it is very depot dependent based on the demand and the vacancies they have at each depot, I learnt during my interview that there was only 1 vacancy for the depot I applied for.

Difficult to say, I have asked for feedback to see where I went wrong. The questions were what I expected and felt as though I built a great rapport with the interviewers so without the official feedback it is hard to put my finger on anything.

Nothing as yet mate, have you heard anything? 17th May is looking unlikely now due to notice periods for most people so who knows what dates they have in mind?

I have also passed assessments to enhanced, I asked about this at my interview last week and they said they would check my results etc but that the OPC assessments was the next stage after the DMI for successful candidates. This will naturally slow things down a little to get all of those people...

Seen on a lot of other SWR threads people saying that they have been told by SWR not to expect much if anything to happen this year as they have a significant backlog of trainees to get through before starting any other new ones.

Didn’t specify a date but I won’t make the May intake now due to my notice period anyway. I applied for Bournemouth depot.

I hadn’t checked the status of my application for a while but mine now says “assessment” not sure when this changed but just thought I would share as I have now completed the RAAT and DMI as part of this process.
