    London Glasgow via Edinburgh

You could specify an extended interchange time at Edinburgh which meets your needs when booking the Advance ticket.

ScotRail - New app / website booking engine from 30 July 2026

I have seen examples of passengers whose tickets are blocked by the pop-up message, e.g. see the image below. 1785834625 From the ScotRail FAQ "Train Tickets Explained". In reality, the list of items which can't be bought is somewhat longer (e.g. some normal tickets). ;) The website...

Yes, Trainline must be chuckling to themselves about how this is playing out.

Posting this here for posterity, as I expect it will eventually disappear from the source website. Here are the headline requirements for ScotRail's new app and website: I'd like to see ScotRail's initial results, judged against their success criteria.

Useful "service alert" about the status of the lifts at James Street (Wirral bound) for this journey from Stromness Aberdeen to London Euston.

    PlusBus Tickets

Confirmed with a second successful scan of the same PlusBus today in Google Wallet. In neither case did I tap the pass again to bring up the full screen Aztec code. These are the first two times I've ever had this work. So something is up...

    PlusBus Tickets

My PlusBus did scan correctly today from Google Wallet without disabling NFC on the phone. This was with the PlusBus as the first of two passes in the bundle.

The app allows you to select a station group as the origin for Live Trains. Entering "115" as per the example given earlier in this thread for Manchester Stations and tapping "Show Departures" results in the (now expected) result of the app immediately bombing out. Entering "81" for Glasgow...

That can't be right. If you look at Live Trains from Stromness, there are plenty departures shown! It seems to be quite a major station too - at least six platforms and a wide range of destinations served.

Stagecoach North Scotland (Bluebird and Highland)

These little colours are icons are just the review comments made in Acrobat (which you can read if you view using Acrobat or Acrobat Reader). See example below for the 64 through connection. It's still rather poor to upload these review files for public consumption.

Can you even bring up Kirkwall as a destination in the new app?

Here's an interesting bug which I spotted in one of the (many) scathing reviews on Google Play store. I can reproduce this by typing "uph" in the From or To station in both the Search and Live Trains pages. Unbelievably bad. Clearly nothing to do with the "glitches" that were ScotRail's...

    PlusBus Tickets

Could it possibly be this is happening when the PlusBus is the second (or higher) ticket in the pass bundle, i.e. a rail ticket is first and the NFC is not suppressed for the rail ticket and that setting is carried over to the PlusBus? I do have another PlusBus ticket for Sunday which is the...

    PlusBus Tickets

NFC was not suppressed for a Raileasy-purchased PlusBus ticket in Google Wallet today. Tried it twice, error "CANNOT READ CARD" on the Ticketer (this will be because I have an Amex set as my default payment card, which is not accepted by First Bus). Switched to the TrainSplit app and it worked...

The functionality to add a railcard to your account is rather odd. It only allows the entry of digits, whereas many (all?) railcards also have letters. The expiry date must be entered in MM/YYYY, whereas railcards expire on a specific day. In any case, I'm not sure what the purpose of adding...

When planning a journey, yes, you can do that. But when looking at live times page, there is no "journey details" option - at least on Android.

On the "live trains" page, I can't see anywhere where the operator of each service is shown. The live trains page for Edinburgh shows departures to "LEV" which I assume is Leven. It's not that new a station! 1785485877 It doesn't even do that, as the Wick example shows.

Ah yes... I'll now start searching for other random numeric station group codes. I was also receiving some weird (non) results when searching for "open returns" earlier. There is also a general note that says that open returns are valid for 30 days, even when the results only offer day...

Amusingly, the app states that it's version 2.0.0. I wonder how bad the previous versions were?
