New DfT rail usage figures, big increase

Whilst I'm aure this is true in some areas, I'm not aware of longer trains on the Portsmouth Direct or New Line Guildford.

Split ticketing delay repay trick, or fraud?

Yes is my understanding. I claim when I'm delayed on part journeys when using a monthly return, for which the remainder of the return ticket is still valid or even if it's not valid after that day and I decided to finish short for whatever reason. It's about the journey being made at the time...

Off peak and the Two Together railcard.

There are off-peak tickets where by if you start short, they are valid on X train but if you were to buy your ticket to actually start from the station where you started short, your ticket wouldn't be valid on X train. I won't be giving examples for what I hope are obvious reasons.

    Revenue Protection at Brighton

It would generate lots of free publicity too.

Off peak and the Two Together railcard.

Well there is the answer. I was looking at the merits of a Two-Together Railcard vers Network Railcard but one of the two is 16-25 so Network Railcard and 16-25 might still be the best combination, even though there may be times when both need to travel before 10 am.

Why are Child Flat Fare tickets such a nightmare to buy?

Does this occur because staff don't know what they are doing due to lack of training, don't have the time to implement it properly, don't have enough staff, have poor managers or a combination of any or all of those. Not forgetting anything I've missed.

    Revenue Protection at Brighton

Well passengers would just need to shift ends at Lewis before it departs.

Why Can’t Booking Websites Have a Simple Tick Box for ‘Exclude Advance Tickets’.

If on the existing classic site someone selects flexible and cheapest, I would expect slower journeys, using the default connection times, to show up with no advances included.

Off peak and the Two Together railcard.

If you read them. How hard would it be to put 9:30 on the home page as opposed to off-peak? And actually link to the terms and conditions rather than having a link to the terms and conditions and then not providing them on the page you claim to be linking to?

Off peak and the Two Together railcard.

I was doing some research for someone and looked up the Two Together railcard. On the Web site home page it says: https://www.twotogether-railcard.co.uk/ When I click on the Full eligibility and terms button it takes me to the following web page...

    National Routeing Guide update

I personally don't know why they just didn't keep the easement and change the dates on it. I've sen that happen for other engineering works. Ledd work than having to create a new one, assuming they do create a new one, nearer the time of the next set of engineering works.

    Off peak/peak v Advance

The government now takes the revenue and all the risks and the TOC is paid a management fee. So this sharing revenue idea shouldn't be happening. Yea they they pay have reasons for on the day advances but it shouldn't be due to wanting to keep revenue when they don't keep it

    Off peak/peak v Advance

Well, why hasn't someone taken them to court if it's illegal? 1741617299 What is causing it to support lower prices if it is doing so? 1741618042 The planes they lease have to stored somwhere though. I accept it might be easier but there still have to be somewhere for them to stable...

London terminals transfers - why not by bus?

So how do people know where the public rights of way are?

North Downs Line upgarde works - some questions

Hopefully as they have just removed an easement covering this route for dates which have now passed.

North Downs Line upgarde works - some questions

That suggests an issue with the data. Probably needs an easement to allow via Gomshall tickets to take the direct bus to Gatwick Airport.

London terminals transfers - why not by bus?

I didn't know they were carried for free. That solves the issue then.

How long would it take to walk to the airport?

    National Routeing Guide update

Thanks for your updates. Is there a septate easement that covers the Sunday engineering works between Guildford and Gatwick, so the VIA GOMSHALL tickets are valid on the rail replacement buses?

North Downs Line upgarde works - some questions

I just checked and there are trains between Redhill and Gatwick Airport. Using the older National Rail Enquires app, it can't get it to show the direct buses from Guildford to Gatwick Airport but I'm sure they will be added in due course, if they are missing.
