Which TOCs will require derogations to continue running trains from 2020?

Because the timetable change is in December: it gives them time to work out a plan.

    How important is the ECML?

Get it right... It's Doncaster that has the hardly-used airport. Sheffield hasn't got one.

Acton Bridge: A Station with Local Strange Neighbours

I think it is the seller's duty to disclose if the potential purchaser asks a direct question. Obviously, 'does the washing machine work?' has an unambiguous answer, but 'what's it like living near the station?' doesn't.

Eurostar through tickets from UK stations to Brussels

They made a similar glitch a few months ago, but there was a workaround. This isn’t an identical problem though. Have you tried the call centre: they are usually pretty good.

    Northern Class 331: Construction/Introduction Updates

331106 out from Doncaster to South Elmsall tonight and a 322 back ten minutes later. Seat layout of 331 absolutely superb with many tables, but good grab handles if people are standing. PIS excellent display but incredibly loud. Guard came round and cleared litter: fantastic! Seats very hard...

It’s just the ambiguity of the word ‘due’. Quite often my train is due (scheduled) to arrive at say 1700, but the info says ‘Expected 1706’. On the other hand, on bus stops, when I see due (imminent) I expect it to arrive in the next minute. But like someone else said, I don’t think it causes...

Bus routes which have never quite taken off

No, I think three National Express a day. There used to be a Ribble/Sheffield X48 service that ran twice a day, three times at weekends; then there was Richardson’s Xforty-something that ran to the airport about two-hourly, and that may have been bought out by South Yorkshire. That was during...
