Then you should expect to be disappointed

Greggs at Leeds station - premium prices

NR say they "typically" take a percentage of turnover - link to the relevant document below https://property.networkrail.co.uk/news-help-and-insights/news/retail-tendering-process/

    Heritage line with steepest gradient.

Nothing to beat what's been mentioned, but an honourable mention to the "ski jump" on the ELR which is 1:36 one one side and 1:41 on the other Also, no idea how steep it is, but the branch up to Big Pit on the Blaenavon certainly *looks* steep

Greggs at Leeds station - premium prices

I suspect that Greggs would just see this as a cost of doing business rather than something specific - a quirk of that particular landlord perhaps - if it were them operating it directly, but as others have said its a franchisee so their approach will possibly be different I *think* (from vague...

    Reform UK discussion

Alastair Campbell has said similar on his podcast with the lesser-spotted relatively sensible Tory, Rory Stewart. Something along the lines of "in this day and age you have to assume everything will eventually come out, and you can't try and draw a line in the sand until it has done so, so you...

    Reform UK discussion

Its certainly true that often the cover-up / denial / whataboutery is worse than the alleged offence, the Farage donation is 50 times bigger than the biggest of the other things you've mentioned, so you'd like to think that even had he been open and honest (I know....) this probably should have...

    Class 120 DMUs

My memory of those is predominantly 110s and some 104s, but there could have been 120s as well

    Caledonian Sleeper

Maybe. But that’s a very simplistic angle to take. Attacker wielding a knife tells the victim make a noise and I’ll knife you. Lots of victims stay silent

    Caledonian Sleeper

If something untoward is happening in a cabin, would a member of staff even realise when they walked by? I could imagine a CS lawyer worrying that by providing this service they acknowledge the risk, and if something still happened they'd be accused of failing to prevent it

    Reform UK discussion

Nice phrasing by the Reform bod. The polis have said he's been bailed pending further enquiries; he's spun it as the technically true but somewhat misleading "released without charge"

    Caledonian Sleeper

Two questions related to the CS: 1 - if the northbound Fort William is delayed, will it always be sent via Glasgow Central Low Level if there are passengers booked from there, or do they ever opt to send it direct to recover some time, and manage the stranded passengers separately? 2 - has the...

TfW Delay Repay + 1st class refund. Who is wrong?

Indeed, but at face value someone could interpret "what you paid for the ticket" differently to "what is printed on the ticket". Just trying to be clear, that's all

TfW Delay Repay + 1st class refund. Who is wrong?

For clarity, and being a tiny bit pedantic, the cap is the price of the ticket, not what was paid for it. If you paid partly or wholly in rail travel vouchers, for example, your delay replay entitlement is capped at the face value of the ticket
