Difficult to say since there are a lot of variables. You start with a lot of kinetic energy but your final state is no kinetic energy so you would need to work out the rolling resistance (coefficient of friction) of the consist and aerodynamic drag and minus both of these as a function for time...

No driver training has started yet so unless they hot-foot it, its unlikely.

Interesting, I dont have anything for 0S52, is that scheduled to pass Whifflet at around 15:26? I have 4S52 to Coatbridge, 0D52 back to Mossend LHS, 0??? to Coatbridge, 0D96 to Mossend L.H.S, 0M11 to Coatbridge, 4M11 to Crewe. Any chance my red ran as 0M80? Thanks,

There is no evidence to suggest that had lifeguards of modern design been fitted to the HST PCs, the conclusion would have been different. If the issue is that the current lifeguards have lost their designed structural integrity then this is a maintenance issue, not a design issue.
