It will only ever run as 2Q08 or 2Z08 regardless of its duty. The other VIUs also have a system of headcodes but thats outside the scope of this thread.

There is work for the TRU well into next year. It should be noted that the 153s (VIUs) and 950 (TRU) are not intended to compete. The TRU is part of the IM fleet whereas the VIUs are region specific. Not all the 153s are operational.. yet.

Personally, I’m a little disappointed that the seperate regions haven’t retained some type of difference in livery. Even a differently coloured bodyside could have helped each of them have some individual identity.

Given the application specifically for a press event, yes this is almost certain. Personally, I would like the TOCs to retain some degree of livery specificity. Great British Railways | South Eastern should retain some amount of light blue (as an example)

Looks like all Freightliner services are now showing as 'DF' as the operator.

I would be interested in the actual metrics of reducing service since the drivers, guards, hosts and the rolling stock leases will still be paid regardless of if the trains run or not. Ultimately, as long as the reductions are proportional to expected usage then I don't have an issue with it.

Hi all, I’ve got a trip coming up to Ireland and was wondering whether there is a live map which shows trains and their IDs e.g. A123. The Irish Rail App shows the live location but it doesn’t show the ID, is there a website which shows both? Thanks for your help,
