Your original post says "I have been doing this since March". Best to get everything clear in your head make sure what you say is consistent.

ScotRail website applying Club 50 discount to LNER-only Advance tickets

Was there not a fares file update to cover the ScotRail fares increase which took effect from 3rd July?

Scotrail "kids for a quid" plus adult with DSB railcard during bar head block

One option would be to go from Glasgow Central to Ayr, from where there is a train service to Kilmarnock (except on Sundays). From Kilmarnock, you catch a train towards Dumfries/Carlisle. I don't see anything from ScotRail about re-routing via the WCML. It does state that "Kilmarnock will be...

ScotRail website applying Club 50 discount to LNER-only Advance tickets

Not quite correct. The discount is valid on all operators' services. it's only Advance tickets that must be ScotRail only.

ScotRail website applying Club 50 discount to LNER-only Advance tickets

Ah, probably the same ones that don't open ScotRail ticket barriers when using CCST.

ScotRail website applying Club 50 discount to LNER-only Advance tickets

But the total is £11.80 x 2 = £23.60. I did notice that ScotRail showed the undiscounted price as £24.60 in the final step in the basket for some reason. Not sure where they're getting £24.60 from.

ScotRail website applying Club 50 discount to LNER-only Advance tickets

This discount should not be allowed as per the ScotRail Club 50 terms and conditions, which state: "It excludes 'London North Eastern Railway only' and CrossCountry only' fares" and "Advance tickets: valid on the train specified on the ticket. ScotRail services only" What do you think the...

Future of Ticket Office Consultations launched

I would prefer for tickets to be printed on a piece of paper of credit card size. I've posted this example (from Slovakia) on the forum previously. I am not sure what is unique about GB rail tickets that the same approach can't work here.

But surely the amount of cash in any given TVM would be well below the typical insurance policy excess. At my previous employer (c.100 employees, £20m turnover), there was a £25,000 excess on the general "all risks" insurance policy.

The railway industry is - from the passengers' point of view - dysfunctional.

In my case, it froze just after I asked it to print my ToD. Not a great experience.

    Section 5(1) RoRA Prosecution

I experienced this behaviour a few weeks ago with a ScotRail S&B type TVM. It did sort itself out and come back to life after about 2 or 3 minutes. As I was in no great rush, while the machine was frozen, I spoke with a ScotRail employee on the gateline to explain that the machine might need a...

Future of Ticket Office Consultations launched

I've mentioned this before on another thread, but ScotRail already had their consultation on ticket office changes about 18 months ago. The consultation can be found here: https://www.scotrail.co.uk/scotrail-ticket-office-consultation And ScotRail's response to the feedback here...

Nevertheless, some might think it would have been helpful to link to this page from the press release on their website home page. They did after all find space there to include links to London Travelwatch, Transport Focus and... a Vimeo video about Bicester Village...

Future of Ticket Office Consultations launched

Plenty of people in the UK work outside and in far more environmentally hostile conditions than on station concourses and platforms, so I don't think clothing is a valid blocker for these proposals.

Future of Ticket Office Consultations launched

LNER's proposal states that Rovers, Rangers, Excesses and Seat Reservations will NOT be available from their TVMs. 1688556651 Volume can be interpreted a few ways. One would be to treat it as simply how many tickets are sold. Another would be to treat it as the value of tickets sold.

Future of Ticket Office Consultations launched

LNER are proposing, inter-alia, "floor walking", "upskilling" and "answering bespoke questions". Is there any other type of question which a customer might ask in a station retail situation?
