How did Class 360s get their speed uprated from 100mph to 110mph maximum?

GPS needs to 'see' satellites in a wide arc across the sky to be accurate. in a train it can only 'see' satellites in a narrow arc through windows, so struggle to be accurate. They cant 'see' through the metal of the roof.

How did Class 360s get their speed uprated from 100mph to 110mph maximum?

think they have the power for higher speeds. But some bits of the trains are not. Running electric motors at speeds higher than specification may damage them, so may need a modification. Similarly, pantographs. May need a fix to the retardation settings of the brakes.

With smart motorways who goes faster than 80 these days. Are the speed cameras working when there is no speed limit displayed? With so much motorway now 'smart' speeding on them is not like it was. I see speeding in motorway roadworks more of a problem. But many of them have average speed...

This is what gets the current rail system a bad name

Local rules then. Salisbury is difficult because of the single line to Exeter which is a difficult railway. and the trains have to be reasonably on time onve they get to Worting Jct But a a sleepy junction with hourly services is very different. And expecting passengers to wait at a station...

This is what gets the current rail system a bad name

Why would it be 15 late at York? There are no conflicts. and there is recovery time built in. Surely waiting 1 minute in Seamer for customers (Those people who buy tickets) to change is what these allowances are for?
