1B89 followed the Ipswich from Peterborough which has calls at WLE, MCH, and MNE. It also followed a stopper Cambridge to Hitchin. Clear run and you can do it in around 1hr45. Last planned diversions a few years ago had journey times between 1hr45 and up to 2hr25 as some paths were pretty dire.

The Modern Railways article states that for the 170s, first class will be 2+2 abreast and increased from 9 to 11 seats. 5 standard seats will be removed and replaced with 3 tip up seats in a new multipurpose area for bikes etc. Maybe this thread could be split and a new one created for the 170s.

The first Great Anglia arrival from Cambridge on both Saturdays and Sundays are booked to use platform 2. With the current XC service now generally down to just 2 hourly, it's not uncommon to for Greater Anglia's Norwich service to use platform 2 when there's disruption.
