    Flixbus Discussion

I don't know what is going on with the prices either, but booking from Glasgow to London on November 12th is showing as £59.99! o_O o_O I hope that's a mistake as that is just an absolute rip off. That's also a single.

Seen on the Flixbus website that the N10 is picking up extra stops in Sheffield and Leicester from November. Presumably to try and get the service used more?

    Flixbus Discussion

I agree with the demand part here. Scottish services seem to be back to their usual demand with only the early morning and late evening Scottish Citylink services being quiet. Even more so today with the Scotrail strikes. Maybe demand for certain intercity connections across the UK simply...

Passengers denied boarding at Blackpool North?

Inverness staff can be a bit rude at times, had a bad experience before with some agency gateline staff who clearly didn't know the rules. Fort William has the barriers to separate Mallaig/Glasgow passengers from the Jacobite service.

Does anyone know how the UKN10 service is doing in terms of demand at the minute? I’m looking to do it as I’ve heard it’s quieter than Megabus and NatEx’s service.

I like how you can book the seat next to you to be unoccupied for a slight fee. Bit of a win over National Express and Megabus who don't offer it.

Out of curiosity, how are the Scottish NatEx services doing? The Megabus service has been running as full.

SPT Daytripper ticket to be withdrawn

I honestly think Strathclyde would do well with an Oyster style zone thing. London manages pretty well with it already. Would mean the public transport would need to be under one banner though.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

Hallelujah! At last! (Hopefully) Obviously the COP26 stuff progressed the talks a bit better since it really did run the risk of embarrassing ScotGov if all the trains were off.

Easing of Coronavirus restrictions in Scotland

This app is so tedious. My identity verification didn't work, I'm not sure why they don't let you sign in with the unique username you were given when you registered for your vaccines. It's stupid, what a failure.

No Time to Die, am I missing something

I fell asleep during Spectre. 1633367929 I do think the Bond films needed to be outstanding after coming off of Casino Royale and Skyfall, both of which were incredible. I'm probably going to go see the new Bond film soon, but I've got reservations now.

Easing of Coronavirus restrictions in Scotland

ScotGov have said enforcement isn't mandatory until October 18th, with several businesses choosing to wait until the 18th to do mandatory enforcement. They say the reason is to sort out any technical issues and teething problems.

Additional services running during Commonwealth Games 2022

Hopefully they take a leaf out of Scotrail's book and bolster capacity on every key route they can. Scotrail even pinched 380s to run additional services on the Argyle Line between Rutherglen and Garscadden. Services should be doubled up, maybe some specials to run them as well. Could any...

They seem to be relatively consistent on trains out to Ayrshire... until around 10pm.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

Yeah, the trains can be pretty scary at night, particularly the DOO routes as the ticket examiners don't patrol the trains after a certain time. Since all the bars and clubs have reopened now, the trains can get pretty messy on Friday and Saturday nights like before, it's no wonder some of...

    Avanti West Coast: Standard Premium

Not surprised, I’ve never had a problem with the Scottish crew. My only issue was doing a Euston to Birmingham with some very bored and surly hosts in first class. However, those ones were based in Wolverhampton.
