    Avanti West Coast: Standard Premium

When it was fully first class, it was frequent for the crews to get interrupted mid service by passengers joining the train at a station. The hosts did go out onto the platform at key stations such as Glasgow and Preston. I think morale is up especially at the weekends because it was normally...

    SPT Carmine/Cream livery - Introduction/Rollout

Teething problems with the 334 fleet resulted in 2 being added as a goodwill gesture I believe.

Great British Railways: Livery, branding and appearance?

I do like the concept of the livery, but I think on the front coach it looks a bit too busy with the big logo and the text. Maybe shrink the logo down a tad to make it look less cluttered

    SPT Carmine/Cream livery - Introduction/Rollout

320307’s looks absolutely horrific. I think the C&C rollout did come quite quickly once they had got a confirmed design, with 318s appearing in late 1997/early 1998. I know the first two 334s came in a strange Carmine and Cream variant to mirror that of the Class 320/318. Photo Credit: Jim...

    First Greater Glasgow

While going along the M8 into the City Centre today, I noticed a 1B flying down the M8 going the opposite direction. Is this the diversionary route rather than going through Partick?

Passengers getting confused by different TOCs or liveries.

Yeah there was also one at 1630 that was non stop to Preston, with a 1657 that called at the regular stations with a few additionals. I can imagine that many people would’ve gotten mistaken especially since it’s a general hourly service.

Passengers getting confused by different TOCs or liveries.

Assuming that was the 1630 Glasgow that ran fast to Preston?

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

So they can provide catering on some services, but not all? That doesn’t make sense to me. Are the catering staff still on leave with full pay or have they been made redundant?

    Vaccine passport disaster in Scotland

I think we all knew this was going to be a disaster from the get-go. If anything, it also adds to the growing calls for Miss Sturgeon to step down, something which I do agree with. The approach was good at the start of the pandemic, but now it seems like she has gotten a little bit over her...

If they have been called off, then all I can say is thank goodness for that.

    Stagecoach West Scotland

Looks like some West Scotland MMCs are being temporarily shifted to Glasgow for COP26 work, resulting in buses from other divisions being drafted in. Stagecoach Manchester's 11533 is currently operating on the 11 service between Kilmarnock and Ardrossan, with another one being sighted in Ayr...

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

I’m not hopeful that these will come to an end anytime soon. Stagecoach will be getting my custom much more. I think a lot of places are lucky that there are alternative routes to get to your nearest city or big town, but really it’s the rural Highland communities that are suffering the most...

    McGill's Buses - Renfrewshire & Inverclyde

Does anyone know why the 17 is cancelled between the QEU and City Centre? It seems to have been kept very quiet and done subtly. Is it because of possible congestion with COP26?

Lumo - new Open Access operator on the East Coast Main Line

Thats not too bad, just 3 minutes longer than LNER's southbound Flying Scotsman.

    TPE Scottish Route

The 1908 was always a Manchester service pre COVID, so it looks like both may have been services that haven’t been reinstated, hence why it was so easy to bring them back.

Will they be able to stuff all of the 1 services down the M8 Motorway and through the Clyde Tunnel? Assuming thats the route they'd take upon exiting the tunnel. In peak times it'll be incredibly difficult to manage.

    First Greater Glasgow

I honestly think it might be worth curbing the 1 service at Clydebank and then asking passengers to go onto the 6, or continue certain 1 services into the City with the 1D only running Mountblow - Clydebank, with the 1C being suspended as the 6A could pick up some of the slack. I'm guessing...

    PTE-liveried multiple units - unusual services/locations?

Definitely pre-privatisation and maybe a little during privatisation, Scotrail 156s ended up in a variety of places. As said in the other thread, some SPT 156s ended up in Cumbria very frequently, even going as far as Whitehaven and I think maybe Lancaster?
