    Preserved stock in PTE livery?

Not uncommon to find Carmine/Orange units straying onto the WHL too. I also saw an image somewhere of an SPT Orange unit working a service to Whitehaven. Weird to think how units can get around sometimes.

WCML Euston - Milton Keynes Disruption(?) 19/10/2021

Hi, Does anyone know what happened on the WCML this morning to cause delays to almost every service in/out of Euston? Even right now there are some Milton Keynes services calling only at Euston, Watford and Bletchley.

    Detailed station PIS screens

Scotrail have departure summary ones at a lot of stations. Saltcoats station has ones just like that but smaller. Image shows departure screens at Saltcoats Station.

    Uniforms, the smartest and scruffiest?

ScotRail, Avanti and LNER have smart uniforms imo, as do Great Western Railway. I prefer a formal look to the casual one worn by Northern and Chiltern.

Stansted Airport Future and the Railways

Not specifically Stansted, but I do think Glasgow Airport is in trouble, having suffered some big blows during the last few years: 1. Thomas Cook going bankrupt, which had quite a big base at Glasgow 2. Flybe going into demise, which again had a big base at Glasgow 3. Ryanair closing their base...

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

You could probably gate Paisley Gilmour Street, since that has frequent revenue checks.

Stagecoach industrial action across the UK

At the same time as the trains? That means if theres no trains, I can't get to college as my alternate is the bus. And that means my Mum can't get to work as a carer because the buses are striking.

Stagecoach industrial action across the UK

Seen on another thread that Stagecoach are striking in Glasgow. Does this mean that it might affect the West Scotland services too?

Should long-distance services offer free hot drinks?

Virgin Trains were quite good at this with deals in the shop. I recall a substantial hot or cold main, sweet or cake and a drink for £5.50 as well as a coffee and cake deal for £3-4. It was very popular and convenient. Cheap too.

    Scotrail Argyle Line March 2022

Looks like the Edinburgh - Helensburgh services are picking up the Yoker stops too.

    Scotrail Argyle Line March 2022

Looking at Cambuslang, it seems the Edinburgh services will be picking up stops to maintain at least 2tph into Glasgow. Bit of a shambles, especially cutting the services like this. I agree with @snookertam on saying that the Larkhall service should run via Cambuslang. 1634252601 However...

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

My opinion earlier may have been a bit sharp tongued as I was rightfully angry that there is going to be 12 days straight strike action, which has the risk of grinding everything to a halt. I feel for the people in the rural Highlands who may have their service cut off as a result of this. I’m...

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

This is getting an absolute joke now, I’m not speaking as an enthusiast but as someone who uses the trains on a regular basis. I really don’t understand why they are striking, why can they not do the job they applied for with the salary they accepted going into the job? Now they are going to...

    On-train catering

I recall on the services to Aberdeen and Inverness they would come round more than once with refreshments and snacks. On the Edinburgh to Glasgow the snack and drink sufficed fine for the 50 minute journey imo

    McGill's Buses - Renfrewshire & Inverclyde

Currently on one of the new Yutongs for the 38. Fresh smell and very quick. However we did just get a warning light on the dashboard as the emergency exit door somehow opened slightly. Couldn’t make it up! EDIT: The 38 will be going all electric and the 23 is apparently going Electric too.

    Avanti West Coast: Standard Premium

I’ve been able to use at seat order north of Preston fine on both northbound journeys.

So what’s going to go on the X23 in its place? Citaros?

Do we think this might be service alterations for COP26?

    McGill's Buses - Renfrewshire & Inverclyde

What on earth, why the regular 23? 1634053652 There’s going to be a lot of annoyed people as I believe the 23 also serves the QEUH?
