    172331 - revised livery

172334 is back in service and also now has WMR branding on it

EPR (Europhoenix Rail) - Class 60s

Honestly it's not the livery it already had that makes it annoying to me, I'm not bothered about triple grey, it's just the fact that it was *only just* repainted and has already had vinyls stuck over it. It just seems like a waste to me.

EPR (Europhoenix Rail) - Class 60s

Nothing like applying vinyl over a fresh paintjob... It's almost as if just removing the ESH logos and replacing them with EPR ones would have done fine! But no, got to cover the whole thing for no reason!

    Class 175s to GWR

Going to assume it's because there wouldn't be a driver to take it back to Laira as the other ECS diagram today isn't running, and also to get the 150s to Exeter.

Train on fire between Balham and Victoria

Southern are reporting a train on fire between those two stations, although despite claiming the lines are blocked, services are still moving anyway? I can't see what service it could be either, the only one not moving is 5Y41 which is a Southeastern ECS move. From Southern's Twitter...

    Class 175s to GWR

166211 is also replacing an IET on Exeter-Cardiff

    Class 175s to GWR

150216 was on it's own on Monday before getting pulled from service on 2F20, and then came back out later in the day coupled with 247 and has obviously stayed coupled to it since, so would suggest 216 is the unit with the faulty cab. 1787143137 The 2F11 diagram has been taken over by 166206 and...

Network Rail Class 950 to be disposed

950001s apparent last service is on 04/09, going from Reading to Derby via the Chilterns. Although it may of course end up running further after that. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U01120/2026-09-04/detailed

    Chiltern 165/0 refresh

165001 and 003 are there for the first time currently but 015 already went last year and has gone back from a second time for some reason. 008, 011, 019 & 020 have done the same and gone back for a 2nd time.

Porterbrook Cl.769 'Flex' trains from 319s, initially for Northern

347 is the one currently at Long Marston undergoing overhaul, 345 has only just come back from it.

GWR Diversions over East West Rail - Nov 2026

That's booked, and is actually booked as an 8 but was short formed today. Although that service has to use platform 3 at Oxford, the bay platforms can only hold 6 carriages. As someone who lives on that line, I can say that they don't hesitate to completely pull the whole met line service at...

Lewes derailment: how will the train be recovered?

Did the front unit even come off the rails at all?

    EMR Regional and Connect refurbishments

Pretty sure it's the other way around, 113 only went to Northampton last week, whereas 108 had been there for over a month.

    Class 175s to GWR

In fairness, a 9 car 802 stopping on the half of the platform that is available would overhang onto the level crossing towards Goodrington.

Could the undamaged 158 vehicles from Talerddig be reformed?

I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere else yet but in the latest issue of Today's Railways mag it mentions Northern plan to lease the 2 undamaged carriages and run them as a set.

    Chiltern 165 on WMR services

So, I've noticed that 165020 is allocated and appears to be running a few WMR services today between Dorridge and Snow Hill. Are the services meant to be under Chiltern and we're put under WMR as a mistake? Because they appear to be regular WMR services short term altered to be Dorridge/Snow...

First Rail Stirling (Lumo) Rolling Stock

A 222 going to Ferme Park isn't always guaranteed. For the unit that would, there's two paths for it out of Euston at the same time, one to Ferme and one to Wembley, and it seems to be that the Wembley one that gets activated over the other more of the time.

Derailment at Wickford - Friday 14th August 2026

2K71 looks to have knocked out one of the OHLE poles, might just be that 1K50 is stopped because the power has been cut off.

    Class 175s to GWR

Although I must say anyway, I am a bit confused as to why inbound services from London can't run all the way to Paignton in service anyway, as Platform 1 there is fully open to services
