I have been bombarded with emails from someone claiming to be "Interactive Brokers" "Formal Advisory — Renewal of Form W-8BEN for Tax Compliance" Dear Client, This official advisory is issued under IRS compliance obligations. Your W-8BEN certification, which verifies your non-U.S. tax...

Superb!

Prestwick Airport wins hands down, half a dozen flights a day but trains to Glasgow and Ayr every half hour

RTT already showing 380/156 mix

Got another one this morning so took your advice and forwarded it, Thanks.

Had the weirdest email today purporting to be from Yodel saying that they had a parcel (NHS test kit) for delivery and giving me options for delivery. All the links looked wrong so it was binned.

I had a look at RTT for December and it is very much a mixed DMU/EMU timetable, would think there will be negative comments in the press etc.

If you were registered with any job agencies in the past, chances are that they still have your details on a database. Many agencies will run search algorithms of those databases and automatically send out emails to anyone vaguely matching a clients requirements. I get them now and again...

Wondering if a bit of lateral thinking could have been used here, the Sunnyside Junction to Whifflet line is wired and OOU, unlikely to be used again for electric traction. Could they have salvaged steelwork etc from here to wire that curve? It was done once before (Balloch singling used at...

Just as aside, there is an opportunity to bag some rare track on those weekends as the Carlisle services are routed via a reversal Polmadie thence via the Larkfield Spur to Muirhouse South Junction.

Cant believe that the Lynx Lower Body Spray advert isn't attracting complaints, sniffing of strangers nether regions isn't something I would expect to see on TV

Doesn't First need to go through a formal process to alter a bus route? Possibly wanted to ensure that all the infrastructure was in place before making the change, would expect the 395 EK to Neilston to use the station too. Some negative comments on-line about the new junction layout at...

Just when I thought that the old Nigerian Prince emails were a thing of the past, I got this yesterday. Has to be a scam, I mean who has a fax machine these days Dear Friend, Let me start by introducing myself, I am Mr. Michel Madi Manager of Bank of Africa Burkina Faso. I am writing you this...

Interesting comment on Facebook. I asked how long it would take South Lanarkshire Council to charge for parking at the new Hairmyers Station, as they had previously charged for parking at the old station. Reply I got was that parking would be free for the first year but the situation would be...

2Q68 1252 Carlisle to Carlisle Network Rail Test Train, one of the 153s.

The order states "no impact to businesses". Quite sure the owners of the shop on the old station platform would dispute that. Wonder if they have been offered any compensation as they are bound to suffer a significant drop in trade

Attached notice being distributed via local Facebook groups etc. Doesn't specify whether services will operate from the new Hairmyers Station or not. Given that the Redwood Drive roadworks look a fair was from completion and the car park looks as if there is still a lot of work to do.

Proof that Scottish football is bananas! Homeless div 2 club Clyde (who used to play at Broadwood stadiumin Cumbernauld) will continue to play at Hamilton next year, while Hamilton, due to a dispute with the stadium owner will play at Broadwood! Crazy.

The Glasgow to Scarborough SO services ran via Edinburgh, reversed then ran via Carlisle, did a return on these, on the way back a freight had derailed near Harthope Viaduct and single line working was in operation. After a stop to pick up the pilot man at Beattock we had a hellfire ascent of...

Everyone bleated about how nasty Airdrie United robbed Clydebank of their team and league place, short memories indeed. In 1964 the Steedman Brothers attempted to do something remarkably similar by "merging" East Stirlingshire with Clydebank Juniors and moving the club from Falkirk to Clydebank...
