    Northern Class 195: Construction/Introduction Updates

I mean stuff goes wrong but it just permanently seems to go wrong at the minute. The stopper after the 17:16 heading to Oxford Road was a pair of 156's. It was empty.

    Northern Class 195: Construction/Introduction Updates

17:15 Lime Street to Manchester Airport is a two car 195. Absolutely rammed. What was the actual point of getting them?

Katowice is alright. It is in the heart of an interesting industrial area which includes Krakow. The area can look very harsh in Winter but I love it. Gdansk is well worth a visit and is a lovely city as is Sopot very near by and Gdynia. Sopot is a lovely summer resort. Lodz is nice, got shown...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Same here. I also voted remain. When the question of the border in Ireland came up I realised it had not crossed my mind and thought "Oh poo, this could make a mess". How anyone thinks it is just a problem created by the EU and why we can't just have an open border anywhere we want is beyond me...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

I don't think many people considered it, then they thought "Oops" when they realised the implications.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

No annoyance from me. When we de industrialised the country Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales were hit as badly as anywhere outside the South East.

Is it January you are going to Krakow? Lovely city. It will be rather cold that time of year with plenty of snow so wrap up warm. Been there and Warsaw a couple of times and was down the road in Katowice, Tychy and Bielsko-Biala last January, down to minus 15. Lots of great stuff to see and do...

    Is Veganism a Fad?

Apparently in the developed world we eat much more meat than we ever used to as a species. Continuing this process is warping the planet. We are now apex predators with a little something else. The natural world isn't balancing out after we have our fill as we do it on an industrial scale.

    Is Veganism a Fad?

I work with two girls who are vegan and the only people who ever bring it up are young lads taking the mick asking if what they are eating is vegan and telling them they never shut up about it (Which they never ever start doing). If anything I am more annoyed by the carnivores who won't shut up...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Sorry mate. That wasn't a personal dig at you. Just that many are invoking the blitz spirit saying we'll be fine when in fact as I said hundreds of thousands or even millions globally died. If that is a Brexiteers view of being fine then I'm out.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Can we leave out the "We got through WW1 & WW2" rubbish. They weren't voted for and hundreds of thousands died. And anyway, it wasn't our generation who got through them, our generation have a hissy fit if the central heating isn't working.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

I am almost past caring. Yeah let's leave with no deal. I have a job with the armed forces that will pretty much continue guaranteed. I live in the family house which is paid for. I'll just sit hear and watch people enjoy having "Sovereignty" and "Taking back control". I'll watch everyone else...

    I am truly scared.....

When they buy tickets off the guard after the train has left Lime Street and when on a train in to Lime Street as we get towards platforms 6-10 they mention that there are no ticket barriers so they have got away with it. Hope this helps. It happens every day mate and it is so obvious. Ha ha...

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

Well said. It has become almost like a football rivalry. Ha ha. No one is backing down from supporting their side even if they aren't entirely sure why it was their side in the first place. Ha ha. I genuinely fear for the country.

Had my first Neo back from Pula earlier this month with EasyJet and didn't notice any significant difference other than the fan blades in the engines looking very different when I got on and off. It was a nice flight, the crew were great.

EU Referendum: The result and aftermath...

We have gone through the renaissance, the age of reason etc. etc. etc. and thanks to the internet come right back around to believing what some nutter down the road said. If it's on the internet it must be true.
