Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Could some of these issues not be spotted out during the testing process before the trains were introduced in service, either on the routes they are operating on themselves. Elsewhere this post on another forum is interesting.

Greater Anglia have responded to peoples concerns with a Q&A https://www.edp24.co.uk/motoring/greater-anglia-questions-problems-new-trains-1-6413874 Some of my favourite parts are the fact they still maintain that they haven't sent old trains back before the new ones are ready and haven't yet...

There's a reason that nobody has replaced the entire rolling stock of a franchise over such a short period, the level of risk is always going to be high and the cost of minimising that risk with enough contingency is also going to be high because you're going to have to keep two fleets on the go...

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Entry for a loco hauled service from Crown Point to Neville Hill has appeared on RTT https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K00329/2019-12-09/detailed That's at least one more 156 going then by the looks of it.

Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Really unfortunate to see that the signalling problems have got worse overnight and now the fault has spread to the Sudbury Line, I mean this really unfortunate isn't it  In all seriousness, it looks like they have even less units than yesterday available, the wording of the reason on...

The problem is do Greater Anglia feel they have got it wrong or do they believe they are the victims of bad luck? They've put out a few hard luck stories and there's been talk about supplier issues from Abellio, mishaps, bad luck, incidents involving trains, animals, poor weather, there's quite...

Greater Anglia New Passenger Information Screens

If you wanted something by Railway people with decades of proven systems up and down the country you would go to Infotec like the vast majority of operators do and pretty much all major stations in England and most of GA stations originally had. They didn't, they went to another company which...

Don't worry, EMR have the 180s coming, there'll be plenty of time for that to change! Abellio are probably pretty happy that they no longer have their name on the side of the trains on Greater Anglia now because it wouldn't be a great advert for them at all! The 360s are going to EMR as well...

That is because that 66994 has been written off in Dublin following a fire. Since they're for airport work, you'd think they'd send 66992/3 since they are to the same layout as 66994 with two doors and previously worked car park shuttles for Aircoach, but that'd make too much sense so they've...

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Posted about it here https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/disruption-at-liverpool-street.196351/ Today has been about the darkest day I can remember in this area and the rest of the week has hardly been great. It's heading towards a full blown crisis.

    Disruption at Liverpool Street

Just saw the reasons on RTT All these were cancelled from Liverpool Street 16:40 to Southend (Signal Failure) 17:07 to Kings Lynn (Signal Failure) 17:12 to Ipswich (Signal Failure) 17:18 to Witham (Signal Failure) 17:25 to Southend (Signal Failure) 17:30 to Norwich (Train Fault) 17:39 to...

    Disruption at Liverpool Street

Does anyone know what is going on? There's constantly trains being cancelled left right and centre and trains which are running but not starting from Liverpool Street but further up the line. Staff at the station have no idea what is going on and say they can't get hold of anyone to tell them...

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Yeah. Cancellations now showing up on boards. Thought it was lack of rolling stock was my original guess. Was showing problem under investigation on journeycheck but now lots of signalling issue related delays cancellations and restricted running segments.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

What is going on at Liverpool Street? A lot of trains are being started further up the line that should be leaving Liverpool Street during peak? Seems to be effecting East and West Anglia trains. 17:07 London Liverpool Street to Kings Lynn due 19:09 will be started from Tottenham Hale. It will...

Greater Anglia Class 755s (Regional Trains)

Nobody said that the ROSCO would pick a short least over a long term lease. But that's not even relevant because from what I have heard from good sources, it was never a question of that. But with the 153s and 170s there was no talk of any of it having other, longer offers on the table until a...
