    WMT fare

If your goal is a clean break and a settlement to avoid court proceedings, you should reply to West Midlands Trains (WMT) with the following information: Provide your full home address. This is essential for them to verify your identity against the details you provided during your interview...

Presence of BTP at revenue stings etc

BTP PCSOs have the highest powers and equipment of any PSCSO, carrying handcuffs and leg restraints. They don't have PAVA/CS, but they are well-equipped to make an effective deterrent to the majority of miscreants. I would suggest that funding be redirected from the RPI headcount to support...

DBS- conviction that couldn’t be me

I have no idea how that would unravel in court if it had been paid. The only SD's I've seen have been as a result of bailiff visits or DBS checks, where the fine has not be paid. I imagine that is one for the DBS correction procedure and the case verdict stays as is.

    TfL Verification Letter

In reality, we should pair the RPIs with BTP officers, or at least PCSOs. The lack of authority the RPIs have is appalling, and the major miscreants know it.

DBS- conviction that couldn’t be me

No. Depends on the efforts the bailiffs make. Or it could be a name/dob match and it has been paid by the "other" John Jones.

DBS- conviction that couldn’t be me

As the OP has spoken to the court and confirmed the case, I'm confident that it has been heard in their name. Here's the possible scenarios The OP has a doppleganger with the same name and DOB and has been properly convicted. More likely if the OP is John Jones than Heathcliff Earnshaw. Some...

DBS- conviction that couldn’t be me

They are wrong. You do need to submit a Statutory Declaration, SJP or not. Shocking knowledge from the court staff. Contact the Bristol Court and request more information, specifically the case number. You need to complete the form, which is linked on this page...

DBS- conviction that couldn’t be me

As you say, this wasn't you; it's likely to be someone who knew your details who gave them when stopped on the railway. Unfortunately, you will have to do some work to get this matter reversed. The process is called a statutory declaration, when you ask the court to reopen the matter and you...

Email from WMT’s Digital Fraud Team

It would help if you could post a redacted copy of the warning. Is it a warning, or a request for information?

    GA Fraud Email

To get away from Trainline, you can use the forum's own ticketing site, which earns a little commission to keep this forum running. https://tickets-beta.railforums.co.uk/ There is also an app you can download from that link. Whilst that can trigger a new account, many systems are now aware...

    GA Fraud Email

To add to the excellent advice above, now that you are going to change your ticket buying behaviour, it would be good to change platforms from the one you've been using to doughnut. If GA see a sudden behaviour change, then that's another piece of evidence. Please let us know how and where...

Also, have you even been stopped for a ticketing problem? Have you had a penalty fare or been reported for investigation? Let us know about anytime your name and address have been taken by GA.

Expired railcard - stopped by revenue protection officer (CrossCountry)

The 16-25 railcard is the one issued to mature students, irrespective of age. Confusing, as this used to be called the "Student Railcard"

Expired railcard - stopped by revenue protection officer (CrossCountry)

Welcome to the fourm. We can't advise directly on immigration issues, though here's the answers to your points which may put your mind at rest on the visa. As many here will be keen to point out, it won't be a fine but an out-of-court settlement of the fares avoided, plus an administration...

    WMT fare

Here's a framework you can use to write back to WMT. Be aware that they may read this forum and tie any information you post back to your case. Paragraph 1: Acknowledge and Address the Incident Start by thanking them for their email and clearly stating the date of their email. Immediately...

    WMT fare

I understand the stress this is giving you. To help, let's focus on the facts of your evasion. Here's my summary of your situation: On a recent journey from Kidderminster to Snow Hill, you did not purchase a ticket until very late in the journey, from Jewellery Quarter station, using the app...

    Fine/Prosecution

The key term here is "laddered up with other substantive offences". The defendant would most likely be sentenced for the other offences; the rail matters would simply be added to that sentence, either as days to be served concurrently or with no separate penalty.

Discussion About What Action Should be Taken Against Passengers With Expired Railcards

Not necessarily. The user could easily enter the railcard type and expiry date into the App as a one-off. Any tickets sold in the month before would come with a warning.

Discussion About What Action Should be Taken Against Passengers With Expired Railcards

When it comes to age-related Railcards, they are more than just a discount pass. They're like a proof of age and entitlement card all rolled into one. When a guard checks your ticket, having your Railcard instantly verifies you're eligible for that discounted fare. It’s so much simpler and...
