    Simsig North London Line?

The North London Line sim is now obsolete (quite a few sims are obsolete), & no longer available to download, it's still up on youtube as they've not taken down the video, & just because you can fins videos on youtube doesn't necessarily mean the sim is still available either...

    London Buses Discussion

Looking on Wiki, at one time Fulwell was one garage, it was a Tram, then Trolleybus depot, their is now a dividing wall that splits the site in half, that happened when the garage was rebuilt in 86, 87. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulwell_bus_garage

(Reasonable) Features you'd like to see implemented on RailUK Forums

I hate the auto merge feature too, it's annoying when you make an unrelated post, even minutes after you posted previous post & they merge. Oh, fixing bumping threads by the means of "bump", is very easy, by making bumping threads, but not contributing to the discussion, against the forum rules.

GM Wayfarer valid on the direct route Wigan North Western to Warrington Bank Quay, as the GM Wayfarer is valid at both stations, but not the direct route.

    London Buses Discussion

I see Roger French tried out the new SL1 & sent in a report in his blog, his journey didn't go well & was so late it got terminated short, as did subsequent buses on the SL1. https://busandtrainuser.com/2023/12/12/the-5-6-mph-superloop-express/

Why are bus/coach services disrupted more than years ago

Bus reliability is not helped by traffic lights, particularly in Town & City Centres where there are traffic lights at every junction, & the lights are on red for an age. Sometimes buses end up waiting for 2 or more cycles to get through the lights. Then add in notorious bottlenecks en route...

Arriva receives 92% of 1 star ratings for bus services

That's the case with Arriva Merseyside, they interwork half of the routes on the Wirral, particularly the cross river routes, that if a bus is delayed on one route it can lead to bunching with severe delays on another route. 407 West Kirby - Liverpool is one of my local routes, that is...

Which real time train running website or app is best?

For me a combination of Traksy & Realtime Trains, add in Railcam which has good diagrams for tracking live trains too.

Arriva receives 92% of 1 star ratings for bus services

I'm not surprised, Arriva Merseyside is my main local operator [Birkenhead depot], newest buses are a batch of 4 Wright Streetlights on a 16 plate, rest of the fleet are on a 13 plate or older, reliability is awful too, i was on an Arriva Merseyside bus earlier that was 15 minutes late (413) &...

Can you use the ENCTS on TfL and the Windsor Express 702?

I used my Merseytravel issued ENCTS pass when i was in London last summer, i did get one query by a driver as to whether it was valid [it was valid] as they don't work the readers, but was waved on the bus after the driver took a closer look at my pass.

What was your favourite bus type as a kid?

Leyland Olympian, i liked the Eastern Coach Works (ECW) bodied Olympians that were new to Crosville, but my favourite ones were the Northern Counties bodied Olympians new to GM Buses, that were fitted out to GM Buses Express standard, like this one. https://www.flickr.com/photos/tcd481j/16255964148

    Caledonian Sleeper

Sundays it's from 2030 too, but you have to watch out for potential diversions via the East Coast, so the sleeper will depart Euston earlier, if that's the case.

Stagecoach Merseyside Cheshire and South Lancashire

I remember Stagecoach night buses N1 Liverpool - Chester, also short 86 Liverpool - Allerton Library, the N1 operated a couple of journeys Friday night, Saturday morning & Saturday night, Sunday morning, the night 86 operated hourly 7 days a week, the night 86 was complemented by extra night...

    Xmas (Winter Festival) timetables 2023

Last time there was a strike like Go North East?

If we can go further back, in the late 60s there was a 11 week strike at Liverpool Corporation Transport (LCT), which I believe caused quite a bit of hardship to those relying on them. Some companies even hired out taxis and coaches so staff could get to the office or shop. When the strike was...

Last time there was a strike like Go North East?
