    Trenitalia to operate Paris-London Trains?

The Railway Gazette article quoted in post #5 says that the trains will be "second generation ETR400 trainsets". This presumably means enough differences to require certification as a new type. I would guess that the original Bombardier (now Alstom) propulsion package might be replaced with...

Unusual multiple unit formations in other countries.

In those clips I think that they were simply using a 6112 to drag a 6111, presumably because a locomotive would need an adaptor for the Scharfenberg coupler. Neither video shows the 6111 powered up.

    Siemens - Vietnam HSR Agreement

It may be significant that these two lines are being developed by a private company, part of the Vingroup conglomorate. The main North-South express railway will be built by the Vietnamese government in partnership with China and will be connected to the Chinese high speed rail network.

India HSR - Mumbai – Ahmedabad high speed line

IIRC prime minister Modi wanted the line to be built as quickly as possible, which meant no deviation from Shinkansen standards (except for modifying the trains to cope with the Indian climate).

    Paraguay - railway to return?

The cross-border shuttle to Argentina mentioned in the article is operated with secondhand Wadloper DMUs from the Netherlands, so using Class 150s wouldn't be completely crazy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posadas-Encarnaci%C3%B3n_International_Train One of Romic's executives, Claudio Omar...

Canadian LGV first sector between Montreal and Ottawa is likely to start construction by 2030

Left to themselves SNCF would probably choose Avelia Euroduplex trains (the new TGV Duplex), but they wouldn't take advantage of North American loading gauge, and IIRC the trains would need to cope with high platforms at Gare centrale in Montreal and low platforms at other legacy stations like...

    DLR B23 Stock (CAF Inneo)

Only the Class 802s were assembled in Italy, and the first Class 800s were built before Hitachi acquired AnsaldoBreda. The only problems that could be "AnsaldoBreda-signed" are build quality issues on the Class 802s, and unfamiliarity with the design could be one of the reasons for those issues.

    Old withdrawn international ferry routes.

Nice story, but TEF had chartered the Ostend Spirit from P&O and she would have been returned anyway once TEF was declared bankrupt. Whatever P&O did to welcome the crew, it presumably wasn't in gratitude for returning a valuable ship, because she was scrapped in Turkey in November 2013...

Proposed new Channel Tunnel services discussion

IIRC JR Central have said that once the Chuo Shinkansen (maglev) fully opens end-to-end services on the Tokaido Shinkansen will cease and the line will be split into several regional routes. That suggests that they will have zero interest in through services to the east.

    Catch them before they're gone

Besides being metre gauge, they are narrower than the Class 22000 (2.75m wide instead of 2.84m). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTM_Class_91
