    A career as a signaller

So Ive just done the psychometric test for the Eastern Futures role, timed out just as I was doing the 12th question GAH! The last 3 or 4 I was rushing so dont think they were correct but hey ho. Just also done the scenario video recording and quite enjoyed that so hopefully have done well...

Yes I had it this afternoon also. Someone in HR has had a bit of a meltdown I think. Hopefully you'll get another. Fingers crossed for you!

Check your email again. They sent out a bunch of these. I had one even though I have been given and interview date. The silver email was swiftly followed by another recalling the first and then a 3rd apologising that the 1st had been sent in error and reconfirming my interview, so definitely...

Thanks both, I'm excited and nervous in equal measure! I've been self employed for so long now that I'm totally out of practice with recruitment processes, although determined to land a signaller role.

    A career as a signaller

Hi All. I've not been on for a while as with lockdown and not knowing what was happening with my business, I wasn't really keeping an eye on vacancies. Was unsuccessful for Derby back end of 2019 and then recently Scropton although I had no correspondence for that one at all, it just changed...

Yes I am well aware that a decent handover time is expected and wouldn't dream of doing anything less. As stated in a previous post, I am learning to drive and hopeful of passing quite quickly, but short term am relying on public transport. Obviously have to get through the recruitment process...

I was going to apply for Shirebrook but then figured as it was temp it would probably be filled internally so didn't bother in the end. I don't know how many positions are going at Derby but if it's multiple then more chance so here's hoping!

Thanks MostlyHarmless, this is my first application so really unsure what to expect and I see reading through that timescales vary enormously!

Thanks Rockhopper. Wasn't sure if it didn't say the for assess 2 bit if it was more likely to be unsuccessful as Ive seen some go straight to that

    A career as a signaller

Hi. So after doing the online tests my application has now changed online to Application under consideration. Nothing mentioned about for assess 2, as I've seen some have. Any insight on what the difference is and if its likely to be bad news? TIA

    A career as a signaller

My 5 days ran out last Sunday and I went to access the tests over the weekend only to find they were bad links. I phoned HR Monday morning and they sent me new links via email and told me not to worry about the 5 days as it was an issue at their end. I had the email the day after to say Id got...

Thanks, if the timescale is likely to be several months anyway I have time to get passed! Its Derby EMCC I have applied for which I believe is on BAteman St. There are buses in and out of Derby pretty much 24/7 with the night buses and its only a short taxi ride for the 3 hours or so when...

    A career as a signaller

Yes I am aware it was in the job spec but I did read in one of the early pages on this thread that another non driver got through. I am learning, have mentioned that on my application, and hopefully will be driving by early 2020, so quite possibly already on the road if I do get through. Also...

    A career as a signaller

Hi, I have applied for Signaller based at Derby, after being prompted by a mate who works for NWR albeit in a different capacity. He knows I am looking for a complete career change(currently run a pub but coming out early next year) but knows me well and is confident I can do this job and has...
