Just got an email back from GWR. They said to resign from my role as a bus driver but not to resign from the company. They sent me a form for an internal transfer for my staff manager to fill out. This apparently then transfers my 10 year service across. I don't know what effect that actually...

I am indeed a First bus driver. There is a few on here going from bus to rail it seems. Have faith, you'll get there. it definitly took a while and tbh I'd probably still be waiting if I hadn't of switched pools to a different depot. I'm just glad to be in. What depot you in the pool for?

As I'm external I don't really know how many vacancies there are for definite, however I have a friend who is Dispatch and he said par was fairly understaffed. As far as I know from talking to a few people I'm the only one for Par on the Jan course. Good luck with your assesments!

It seems to vary a lot from depot to depot. Mine took ages whereas lots of others on here varied from days to a couple weeks.
