There often appears to be a Catch-22 where the advice from X is to consult station staff/conductor or train manager to which the passenger responds that they can't help either.
Something once common in multiple venues but not seen as much now. Black noticeboards with holes into which individual white letters and numbers were inserted in order to display such things as opening times, prices for different products etc.
Track diagrams showing congestion on ECML both ways currently either side of Barnet Tunnels.
Edit: Just seems to have been a "blip" as everything now on the move.

From today's www.journeycheck.com/lumo
08:50 Stirling to London Euston due 15:00 was cancelled.

Yes that is often an unsafe practice and not one I would condone, which is why my post was qualified with the words "when it is perfectly safe to do so".
Not completely disappeared but common courtesy from vehicle drivers appears to be on a downward trajectory especially where it would incur a slight delay of perhaps 20 seconds to show courtesy e.g. pausing when it is perfectly safe to do so in order to let another driver manoeuvre into or out of...
Lumo's Twitter page makes it clear that there were no accessible toilets on the 1636 ex Euston-Stirling (which was delayed 30 minutes en route due to trespassers on the railway in the London area).
Apart from no London-end facilities for defects requiring depot attention, do Lumo WC have access to a London-based fitter to effect a straightforward (for a fitter) running repair?
Edit: Just seen post 206 which mentions the likely Wembley option.
It seems bizarre that Avanti and Lumo are both First Group entities. Either this outcome should have been resisted from monopolies concerns or if deemed acceptable (as it apparently was) it should be on the basis of interavailability of ticketing as far as possible particularly during disruption...
