Part of the handforth bypass and link road is shut leading to gridlock in handforth and parts of Wilmslow. Maybe somthing to do with that

It was at honford Hall in Handforth. There were posters up on various bus stops mentioning the “appalling bus services” noting the loss of the 378 and the Sunday and BH 130 services, it said consultation forms would be available on the day

There was a meeting/consultation in Handforth last week regarding the poor state of the local bus services. I couldn’t attend due to work, does anyone know what was discussed or proposed?

True but no one will get in to the habit of using any of these services when they keep chopping, changing and cancelling every month. Once people have faith in a regular punctual service they may use it.

D&G are trying but as I said in a previous post. A service running from civic centre bus station taking in the heald green handforth and Wilmslow estates or a regular Wilmslow handforth heald green circular would be far more useful and profitable than these massive long random routes

D & G would be better providing a wythenshawe interchange circular taking in heald green Spath Lane, colshaw farm, lacy green, Wilmslow station, bank square. Connect these areas to the metrolink and onward bus services. It’ll be a lot easier once the new road is open naturally

It must just be a weekend thing then. None seem to be stopping at stockport on Saturdays, this Saturday specifically

What is the reason for this service No longer calling at stockport? Is this a permanent arrangement or due to engineering works/rerouting or something?

Interesting that there is a two page spread in the latest issue of rail magazine about the reopening of this route to passenger traffic, coupled with the news of land being set aside for a new station at middlewich. The way these outlying towns are growing, especially middlewich, I think this is...

Just seen a car train trundling through Altrincham station carrying brand new transit vans, very long, must be 25 years since I've seen a car train in this neck of the woods. Any ideas what it was?

Could they not deploy a class 139 parry people mover running up and down between Northwich and Alty on a regular basis?

Someone will give me an obvious answer I'm sure, but why can't the hourly midcheshire line service not start at Wrexham, giving an extra connect to both manchester and the metrolink system at altrincham

Considering most Sundays this service runs via altrincham,due to the engineering works. I wonder if arriva would ever consider running one train an hour on this route on a regular basis, calling at northwich knutsford Alty and Stockport? Could it be done?
