Oh it is, it just looked like it had been neglected and not maintained as well as it should be, when I visited and needed a bit of TLC.

Have you contacted Network Rail? A simply tweet to @networkrailscot with your images may be all that's required to have them correct it.

I haven't been to Perth for many years, it was in a bit of sorry state when I visited it then. You could clearly see it was once a grand building. The unsympathetic aesthetic of the lift and footbridge Network Rail built is pretty poor too.

I would imagine so. I doubt it's as simple as plugging it into a socket and switching it on. If only rail electrification was that simple. :lol:

Waverley and Haymarket are quite a short distance from each other, but I suspect South Gyle and Edinburgh Gateway are closer to each other.
