There are so many GBR threads, I wasn't sure which one to post this in (if any). Mods please move it to the appropriate thread if there is one.

I was wondering if GBR have registered an official domain for their website? Due to privacy concerns, doing a WHOIS on Internet domains doesn't yield much info on the owners of domains these days.

The Government could reactivate brb.gov.uk if they are struggling to register a suitable domain that hasn't already been taken.

Everything else which could reasonably be used for GBR (greatbritishrailways.com/.co.uk, etc) redirects to gbr.uk.

Why would they even consider that? They control the .gov.uk domain, so they can have anything they want ending in that, evicting whoever is currently using it if needed. No need at all to resurrect an old domain which has no connection with the new organisation.

Cheers.

Although just to play devils advocate, it is possible that cybersquatter (*cough* a civil servant involved in the setting up of GBR) could have registered all those names too.
