Arguable the worst aspect about Edinburgh airport is that there are no toilets (if there are, we've never found them) between disembarking aircraft and getting through security.

This is what I don't understand as it implies both that the train is very, very close to the platform edge but, also, a step UP from the carriage to the platform as opposed to a step down. I have never encountered a step up anywhere so what station(s) are an issue?

One thing I would say is that I prefer the station etc announcements on the 170s compared to the 385s. 'We are now approaching etc' seems much more natural to me.

Hearing that Stagecoach West Scotland and Stagecoach East Scotland are being 'merged' and, henceforth, will be called Stagecoach South Scotland. Seems odd given that, to my knowledge, the southernmost terminus for Stagecoach East Scotland is Edinburgh.
