I was thinking more a chance for Plymouth area residents to be able to use it fir trips across the moor with more choices etc. Saving having to pay £6 to Stagecoach (Plymouth to Tavistock return ) and then £10 on Dartmoor Explorer, particularly as Devon Day Ticket is not valid on the DE service

Any chance of an extra journey on the Plymouth to Tavistock leg as well please?

Think in that case best customer service would be to allow customers to return on their single ticket until fixed, unless day ticket option is no more expensive than return. Can't really penalise customer for a software glitch

Don't know about that but this seems to be happening on lots of companies ops now. Single or day tickets. Stagecoach don't do returns in Devon or Cornwall at all except their Plymouth area ops (where they have some competition from Go Ahead)

Dartmoor Explorer started on Sunday, I have seen it a few times going past my house in Plymouth

First are head and shoulders above Stagecoach on forms of communication . I find you are often guessing with Stagecoach or trying to get info off 3rd party sites

No I think that is a typo in Atlantic coaster leaflet . If you read the other routes to try bit it says open top Dartmoor Explorer. I know it isn't but an guessing that is the typo not spotted by proof readers

Is there any fares info available for Dartmoor Explorer anywhere? Note in one of the leaflets it shows as open top service on Dartmoor

We have got a First Western National flag on bus stop in our estate in Plymouth

Stagecoach emailing customers asking for ideas re new ticket options to get people back on board etc. Seems they are thinking of doing books of day tickets at discount and more flexible ticket options? Great idea, I would do day tickets for 24 hour period on app, so if bought at 5pm valid...

Dartmoor Explorer timetable is on traveline. Once per day from Plymouth to Exeter, leaving each end at 10am. Interlapping sections north of Tavistock . Hopefully this works and First can add a few journeys in and develop the route. Used traveline West Midlands

Surely they can not fund citybus 34 if First commercial routes cover same route?

Yes true. In Plymouth, inner zone Stagecoach do some very reasonable return fares often up to half the price of Citybus on same section of route. Outer zone return fares normally better off with dayrider.

Some do some don't really. Stagecoach in Devon only do singles except on the Plymouth network where they do returns as well. This has been the case since they took over from First in the city, possibly because of competition in Plymouth from Go Ahead that they don't have elsewhere in Devon...
