Stagecoach are taking over 87 from Tavistock to Bere Alston from Target in September. Any ideas if they will also take over the rest of Devon County Council contracts as per 87?

Yes it was a shame as imo First Plymouth area services were very good. That's not to say Stagecoach services in and around the city aren't good too but they just don't have the coverage First did leaving large chunks of Ply.outh held to ransom so to speak paying rather high fares to Go Ahead...

Shame. I was hoping FK might start to make their way east in the county towards Plymouth

Noticed that First Kernow network map and fares info includes 11 and 11a to Liskeard and Plymouth which at the moment is operated by Go Ahead . Seems strange to advertise a competitors service?

Any thoughts on whom will buy First Kernow ops when they look to sell their uk bus ops?

There are changes coming to service 1 from June. Main ones are additional evening services Monday to Saturday 10pm and midnight off Plymouth and 9pm and 11pm off Tavistock which is good. There will also be an additional 5.20am departure off Tavistock . This comes month after midnight departure...

Ah right thanks. Are they all this year do we know? It will be interesting to see if they hsve anything planned with their small Plymouth network?

Interesting. Must say I think Target are guilty of this on most routes, so surprised complaint relates to 1 route only, namely 89. Not good though for them as surely DCC will be watching like hawk now and it has not been smooth contract with Target. Any ideas when other routes tenders are up...

Following on from their successful bid to take over Plymouth City Council work from Target last November, Stagecoach are now taking over Devon county council subsidised bus 89 Tavistock circular from this week also from Target. Not sure why only the 89 at present?

Stagecoach did run limited services in Plymouth on New Year's Day last year. Obviously did not pay off though as they aren't in 2019. They do operate on Boxing Day though which is more than the other company in the city has ever done to be fair.

Stagecoach have also picked up 6 or so Devon Contracts in North Devon crom Turners who cease trading at end of October

Stagecoach have gained all Targets Plymouth work starting Oct 29th plus service 14 from Citybus. They have had their existing o licence extended to 21st December so will continue to operate Devon County Council tenders until then. A decision on these routes will be made before end of November...

Thanks. I see all Targets DCC services are showing as cancelled on VOSA today. Not sure though if they would need to do this and re register with new licence or they have indeed lost this work and new operator (s) to take over in November?

There is actually a variation application on VOSA today for Plymouth 52 starting from original date? Any ideas what it is??
