Hi all I have been considering to buy the 50mm standard f1.8 lens by Sony for my Sony a300. I am looking to take moving night shots without flash which is to why I need such a low aperture. Would anybody recommend this lens, and or recommend that I get it just for the experience with...

I just gaze out of the window, usually aimlessly. Look out for traction or freight, spotters/photographers etc. Order some food when on ATW's WAG (Hot beef sandwich!). And from the trip to Derby two weeks back, try not to make it obvious that I was looking at the blonde opposite on a cramped 153!

Virgin did this once with their Class 221s. Made an interesting sight, but I don't recall of a XC Voyager doing the same. :|

I spent Derby to Bristol Temple Meads on a XC HST, and I was very impressed with the comfort. I saw inside a FGW HST and it looked very comfortable, too.
