Probably because there are thousands of people who work on the railway who are not a Southern employee? I'm a railway worker have been for over 6 years and hold both PTS/IWA.

I think the only way you can be certain, is to contact Southern and speak to them direct.

Northern appear to have 'the most often' positions advertised. LM, SE, Chiltern, FGW, Freightliner HH, DBS, Colas, DRS, Northern, Southern have all had recruitments recently...doubt many of these will be recruiting again for a while.

I have received an email...I spend sometime doing a decent 'cover note' not a CV with regards to my current experience gained working on the railway. Surprised slightly...and not sure of my chances, seen as I live in the Midlands...although I am willing to relocate.
