Can't believe it...had my phone interview yesterday, to be told it will be next week when I find out if I have progressed. To then check my emails this morning to find an email sent from from FGW, yesterday, starting with: 'Congratulations'! Date for assessment centre to follow!

Thanks for this, this is one of the best posts I have seen as to what to expect in the telephone interview. As for the others who posted reference my link to the FGW site; Yes this is a must for FGW. I think its the only one to have their own separate website for Trainee Drivers.

Application is still open, closes 22nd November. So best guess would be mid to end of December before you hear anything.

I potentially could fall under this...especially how it will fall right after christmas and just before my car MOT is due :lol: Ah well will have to wait and see what happens.

Ooh Bescot, now that is on the doorstep. Already have an application on hold for Toton, still I will put one in for this, only 20-25min away from me.

Hmm interesting, with some of us getting 'on hold' emails and others getting thanks but no thanks emails, I wonder if they will advertise again or just use what they got on hold? Still would like to hear if any of those who already got through applied for Toton depot? --- old post above --- ---...

Recruiting again, question for me is, is it worth it, been from the West Midlands...relocating and seen as it appears the qualification, as such, is not transferable to the normal mainline TOCs/FOCs?

Yeah I decided to submit an application, last week. Copied all of the questions into word and did my answers in word, which I then copy and pasted into the relevant boxes. Also word counts your words for you :)
