That's a good point actually, I remember when NXEC took over the ECML, they sent out letters informing us NXEA staff were not entitled to travel on NXEC and vice versa, to and from work. MR, NR and GA are run by Abelio, albeit MR is a joint venture with Serco.

My thoughts exact! It's funny whenever you ask for references for your ex manager they always seem to go all quiet, if feels like no one likes giving out references these days. Does anyone know if your potential new employer would normally only contact the 1st 2 of your previous employment...

For those of you that applied externally, have you heard anything?

I apologise it would appear I was miles off, however, I was merely giving a guesstimation/rough estimation from when they last advertised.

Note: on the basis of the TOCs discretion, since the 2 candidates you mentioned had already applied with FGW previously, they (FGW) used their discretion and allowed them to retake the SI. Had they applied with another TOC then it's a whole difference ball game.

Welcome & unlucky dude. I know it's not easy to take in and can constantly be on your mind but you need to put it behind you and make a good go of it next time. Even though you have lost a life line chances are they may get reset, from what people are saying about the whole assessment...
