    Fun at Chatham Railway Station

Can those who give to these organised professional beggars be charged under a railway bylaw? They are as much the problem as those who infest our trains with their criminal activity.

30 years ago- the murder that ended the compartment carriages on SR

I don't recall our school train ones getting that- they were very old with the original string luggage racks. Had iirc just two low wattage bulbs for lighting too- which naturally we used to unscrew in Sevenoaks tunnel.

Bridge at East Croydon closed again. Some seem to be getting on to it leading to ridiculous scenes at the bottom of the stairs. Who signed off this design? Are they still in a job?

Residents cut down a wood on Bristol railway line without permission to improve their views

That's sending out completely the wrong message on trespass. A very strange decision.

Is this separate from the independent investigation already announced.

    Memories of the Intercity 125

I'd be interested in how they can deal with the Jimmy Saville issue. Those ads were one of the most successful in British advertising history and transformed the perception of the railway. Just ignoring their part on that era of BR's history would be like making a programme about the 1940's and...

Remind me. Who exactly signed off when the manufacturers of the new GSMR radios offered an internal battery but declined due to cost ?
