    Stansted Bus Fire

Is that one of ones that goes out to the car parks?

    Railway General Knowledge.

Well because the six main wheels were driven like a GWR pannier but it had an extra set of undriven supporting wheels between two of the driven ones. The continental system would work but can't see how Whyte could do it.

I think this other Belgian steam oddity (and boy there were plenty of them) was that 0-6-0 Pannier which had an extra set of supporting wheels put between a pair of the driving wheels. It was something to do with a weight limit on the route it was used on.

Railway Enthusiasts at Stations - is a clearer policy needed?

Absolutely. You are on someone elses property so learn some basic social skills towards those entrusted with its safe operation.

Railway Enthusiasts at Stations - is a clearer policy needed?

It is absolutely their business. They are as much the eyes and ears of the railway as anyone else and as part of their training they are told to report suspicious activity.

    Aviation Discussion

It was the Queens golden jubilee that year and there was a big flypast that June. I wonder if this was part of those celebrations and it was so loud because it was a VC10 tanker?

    Classic Traction which never aged

I think the MK2 DVT's like used on the NR monitoring train still look good. Such a shame the SR didn't build EMU's based on them.

2 car ac emu - practical?

In the case of Grove Park - Bromley North a toilet will need to be orovided I think the cop out to be DDA compliant is to have announcements and CIS displays on platforms telling which part of the train has a disabled toilet (or not)

2 car ac emu - practical?

Does anyone know if the 466's will have the DDA compliant toilet mod done? -can only think of two routes they are used on as a lone unit and they would ideally have a 465 on if possible.
