Really gutted for you guys as i had a DMI for the same role. Luckily been invited for a medical now. I can only think that maybe they have a quota that they can't exceed? Don't give up, i'm sure you'll both be successful next time.

Got the phone call i'd hoped for today to tell me i have been successful at my DMI and the next stage for me will be a medical! Over the moon! Thank you to everyone who has helped me and good luck to those still in the process!

Can anyone who has already sat the assessments tell us if they did the interviews on the same day? I passed my assessments with southeastern back in December so i assume i only have to do the DFFT test but just wondering if they are likely to give us interviews on the same day as i wanna make...

Same happened to me. Passed assessments in December and been waiting since. Really hope i hear soon!

Have you read my initial post? My advice was to try and get in to your local depot. I was simply just answering his question from all angles. A forum is a place to express opinions and views is it not Chill out.

Woah!! Chill out. I am in no way justifying or advising him to do that, i was just saying i have seen it done by several people. As i said in my original post, you are better off trying to get the depot closest to you to begin with.

Not really. It depends on the circumstances. I know a guy who literally just passed out and said he had split uo from his wife and had to move down to worthing so he managed to get a transfer to Brighton. All depends on why you're asking i guess.

So when you say Gillinghams harder to get into... What do you mean by that? As in the interview is tougher or just the wait? Cheers.

Hi mate. I'm at Selhurst depot and as far as i can remember u start paying into theprnsion scheme straight away. As for parking spaces... You will be able to park at your depot wherever you are and will get a permit to do so. Selhurst has plenty of parking spaces and has two secure staff car...

Thanks for the reply mate! I've recently passed the drivers assessment and was moved from the dartford pool to the gillingham pool. Absolutely thrilled as i would love to get into Gillingham. Just wondering how long i'll be waiting for an interview for them. Any ideas? Thanks again!

You might be waiting a while mate... i applied for a job back in August.. went through the assessment centre, had my interview and have phoned up and emailed recruitment 3 times since and all i ever get told is they are awaiting the results of the interview... Not quite sure why it has taken...
