The 323 worked 09:16 Crewe-Liverpool, 11:00 Liverpool-Warrington BQ, 12:12 Warrington BQ-Liverpool and 13:28 Liverpool-Crewe etc, all booked for a 323 anyway on a Saturday.
However, with the driver training issues and route clearance issues, the latter being now being solved obviously, it must...
I think people forget the pressure that rail staff are under from those higher above, regarding passenger accidents, especially those involving the PTI (platform/train interface).
God forbid, if something had happened when you had gone over the yellow line and it had gone unchallenged by staff...
Procedure I have dealt with and deal with is the following:
Traincrew report ill passenger on the train, ascertain the condition of the casualty, ask station staff to assist (if available) and see if they can be moved off the train into the care of the station staff. Train gets on the move...
Hmmm, if you are advised by the ambulance service, when phoning 999, to not move an ill passenger, you don’t move them, simple as that.
Unfortunately, the stock response when phoning 999, seems to be not to move the person, therefore stopping the job.
As I’ve said many a time, committed Sundays outside the working week are the way to go, it works for me (mostly) as there are grabbers who will work a Sunday that I cannot work and similarly, I’m hungry enough for the overtime that I will work Sunday’s that others don’t want.
Don’t get me wrong...
It’s all the same crew, however the Chester-Helsby-Ellesmere Port-Man Vic job is still a Lime Street job but STP’d during the blockade, the crew are taxied to Chester first job of the evening for the crew.
The stock for 5F14 should come off 16:41 Manchester Piccadilly-Chester (2D53).
However...
Looks like 17:59 Huddersfield was delayed awaiting traincrew, which may not have been known about, at the time. And using platform 4 you can’t crossover onto the Up Electric without blocking the Down Electric first, therefore delaying other services.
It’s worth mentioning that these Tyrell/JourneyCheck messages don’t just go to TOC websites, NRE for example.
They can also be setup to go to local media outlets, radio stations, newspapers, so simple, plain, non-jargon language is essential.
Any information for eg: a track circuit failure...
No, it skipped stations due to late running to ensure as close to a right time departure for its next work and avoid further congestion.
Where were you actually travelling to, out of interest? As there was a service that ran non-stop Leeds-Huddersfield missing calls at Dewsbury/Morley/Batley...
It doesn’t; it’s retimed to arrive at 01:00 and reverses at Huddersfield and diverted via the Calder Valley, so doesn’t serve Huddersfield-Stalybridge-Man Picc.
