Does anyone know why DB Schenker are running light engine runs from Cobra Railfreight (Whithams) at Wakefield to Wigan Wallgate sidings daily (or at least it seems they run daily) and back.
Also what the train reporting numbers are ?
There is one running today, it set off at 05:44 this morning
I have 2 ident requests
1 = Thursday 29th Oct - the track measurement train which ran from Crewe L&NWR around the North West and back to Crewe, I saw it go through Heaton Chapel but unsure of the locos? 37664 & 37604 possibly, can anyone confirm this or let me know if different please.

I'm still not sure about the 33/1's, but it is looking likely, do you know what is the source of that article ?
I also have heard that Class 75 was for Tommy (can't remember where ?), but Helvellyn has suggested that it was reserved for a 'Super Electro-Diesel' but I have not seen anything...
I have had info for 2 different Class 34's one which I read somewhere was 10000/10001, (10000 had been withdrawn by 1967 but 10001 was still in use) can't remember where I got that ?
The other I read on a list of Classes from a magazine, the article was in recent years but it stated an...
Thanks for the info mate, I understand what you mean about the 33/1s
Eurostar power cars have 4 digits on their bodyside, i.e. (37)3006 with the first 2 numbers not displayed, I don't know about the rest of the stock though, never paid much notice
I agree, its difficult to classify them as a loco when they are fixed to a unit at least semi-permanently.
Is it feasible that they can work apart from the unit ?
That's right, Thanks dubscottie, although I already mentioned this in post 10 in this thread, but it is nice to have it confirmed !
Do you know if sub-class 33/2 was originally allocated a class of its own ?
I would have thought that more likely than the 33/1's in the first place since they...
Interesting
Shame they never built that !!
I have found another list of classification, and it states that Type 2 locos were allocated Classes 21-32, so my idea about it being a Type 2 rather than a Type 3 could be correct and it being 10800 has more credence possibly ?
and it also...
I believe you are right about the 66's, EMU unit no. clashes I'm led to believe ?
Yes I did not mention Class 51 missed that one!!, (I was waiting for someone to spot that one, as Capt. Mainwaring would have said:roll:) I'm glad someone is reading my post in detail ]
I don't have...
You are quite correct, I did not bring them into the discussion as they are much later, and from what I have heard, not used as they would conflict with dmu/emu unit no.s in modern (computer based) thinking.
But if you have any ideas if there were any locos suggested or designed but never...
Here's a question (I've got loads), here's one that's probably cropped up on here before but I cannot find a thread of such so far.
Going through the TOPS Classes as allocated in 1967, many years ago I had noticed several apparently 'missing' no.s. I have been trying to identify such ever...
