It’s all to do with the movement of the bus… There are certain stops usually before or after city centre where it announces the route number and destination - St Patrick square being one of them, exchange another. • If the bus serves the stop, the announcement is triggered by the driver closing...

I wouldn’t be surprised if we did see a reallocation of XLB’s to other garages... 11/16 duplicate at Leith > Greenbank 7/31/37 duplicate Bridges > Cameron Toll 27 seems overkill? Are there other city routes ie: 3/26 which could benefit from the increased capacity and spread XLB’s out onto...

It will be good to see them return, eventually! I wonder what depot they will return to. The PVR for the 36 is 6 buses :p I’ll just leave that there.

Some 7900’s appear to of made it back to marine overnight as we see more evoras hit the road

It’s an interesting route - Whilst it provides a direct link for the likes of stenhouse in the west and niddrie in the east to the city centre, it’s in no means the fastest way from say Musselburgh to town or at the other end going in loops through wester hailes before heading into the city...

Let’s hope the new buses provide the extra capacity that’s needed when they arrive! ;-)

I haven’t driven many other services this week, however, today I drove the 30 with standing room only on two separate journeys! Bearing in mind this service is still running at 10 minute daytime frequency aswell. What lockdown?!? :|

186-190 have moved back to marine tonight on finlay smith. I wonder if we will see any further movement with the expected entry to service of the evoras?

Would taxing all the vehicles not be a substantial cost when I imagine every penny spent is going to be scrutinised post Covid? I may be wrong but this looks like to me they envisage an entry into service in January as planned. Certainly even after the recent government announcement some routes...

Definitely all from marine. The 400’s skylinks are currently based there with the 500’s at longstone for skylink duties.

Sadly time is probably vast running out to see them enter service in 2020 with Christmas and new year not far away. However, I suppose it depends on how many are currently in a “ready” state as seafield seems pretty full with the new vehicles.

The evoras are rumoured to be going on route 30. Although there is conflicting messages on exactly how many are due I am led to believe 30 buses will be delivered against a PVR of 27. Capacity wise the 30 has been in need for larger vehicles for some time. Some older single deck vehicles have...

Saw two “get there greener” eclipses at seafield earlier which presumably was these. They were parked right at the gate looking ready to drive out. There were also 8 evoras parked in the yard too

I can’t see them waiting till March - that’s a long time to be sitting on a new fleet which with the 30’s, the extra capacity is very much needed! There is regularly 30’s running at full seated capacity at all times of the day. As these are a new type for Lothian there must be processes in place...
