Livingston issues are self inflicted and the reason in the main for the current issues stem from the moment those in charge decided on Brightbus and then took on the 3 Edinburgh routes and put them into a depot that was already struggling with turnover of staff.
It appears that now both those...
The strange thing was first chose to cut short the X25 which went through Uphall and Broxburn ahead of X18 heading to Edinburgh and got decent footfall ,the X24 is usually under 10 mins behind and really struggles to get numbers. It was a bizarre option.
On a general view as far as X27/X28 go...
From Monday 26/04/21 First Scotland East will be introducing flexible bundles for passengers ,aimed mainly at those returning to work who may not be working a full week as yet, good idea although limited time on usage is a little tight imo...
There have been no positive cases within Livingston as yet, so different situation to the one currently being experienced in Bannockburn Depot.
You would imagine any reductions in services will depend on how transport Scotland go with further funding after March and how the Scottish Government...
No drivers are Furloughed in FSEat present,
I'd imagine as companies have a deal and funding to run current services until March they will continue to operate unless told otherwise by Scottish Government

It will become clear in time why the branding has continued on the 600 route ...
It is indeed a £2 day ticket ,there is also a £7 7 day ticket which is exceptionally good value .

At present there is no need to service RBS gogar however post covid that may indeed happen on either the 63 or 20 service.
You would have to think it will be Spring of the New year ,pretty pointless before that and with Furlough In place until end of March it seems logical to assume they will coincide time wise.
Hearing BBT will be stopping operations on Friday 13/11/20,probably due to how quiet the tourism is in the city and with no signs of any improvement before Spring 2021 at earliest.
With no winter festival or hogmaneigh celebrations you would imagine it was an easy decision not to have buses...
It will return to Airport once the Airport is back up and fully functioning or at least at a level that requires a service.

All operators do ,the airport basically auction of the stances they have when the tender expires .

Or they could put bus stops on Howden West Road...
They are NOT going ahead at this time due to a concern raised by Hospital regarding amount of Vehicles using the grounds during the present pandemic and access for the increased number of Ambulances currently required.
Expect the changes to happen but wont happen until talks have taken place.
I recall similar being said when the BBT was mentioned and how it was "fantasy" to think lothians monopoly would be tackled!!
I dont recall saying I wanted jobs lost ?
I doubt very much either will "collapse" as a result of this latest spat.

Why? Tourists are on holiday they care...
I totally agree when it comes to social media and PR Lothian leave Firsts centralised (in leeds) attempts well behind however it is dangerous assumption that Social media opinion is a gauge of public feeling and the fact so many still choose to travel with First after 2 years must be gauling to...
OK I will bite
26A Runs in front of X17 FROM LOGANLEA X17 double decker 90% empty
x24 Runs ahead of 275 from broxburn double decker 90% empty
x25 from blackridge runs ahead of 280
i could go on but basically its swings and Roundabouts and really a mute point as timetables will always be...
More Balls in the air in search of the non existent "Golden formula" in West Lothian!!
Put simply it wont matter how many times you shuffle the cards there will still only ever be 52.
I think the 281 is going to make more returns than Frank Sinatra at this rate :)
I am sure I read they didn't tender as they assumed it would renew automatically(which would be bizarre), Edinburgh Liberal Democrat spokesperson Kevin Lang was up in arms about the cock up ? it was in the Evening news back end of February
there was only 1 bid for the 20 and 2 for the 63
So 2 years to the day since Lothian Country launched their attack on West Lothian.
Success or Failure (or somewhere in between)?
I assume its not quite gone as planned and the figures must be utterly eye popping to those counting the pennies.
Of course that now applies to both operators both...
Heard a little rumour (maybe LCB staff on here can confirm or dent) that they had sold quite a few of the single deckers previously used on X38 ,
Maybe some newer vehicles for the route when it kicks off again ?
