Not having heard of any news for a while I began to venture on twitter for updates and seems now that a single 4 car class 378 will hopefully be running as a temp replacement for when some of the 172s go off lease. But even so any concrete updates on the 710 availability?

Second half of December sounds very opimisitc to me... More likely Second half of January for the starting of 710s but man what a real mess this has become. Just pray they get these things in service ASAP.

What I can’t understand is if they are still having issues tailoring the new train software, then why can’t they just adapt to the electrostar software used in the 345 till the original new software is ready . When i say this i mean, they could reserve one or two units for testing purposes...
