According to National Rail Enquiries, the 11.32 Blackpool to Liverpool has just left Huyton 17 minutes late due to overcrowding and will run nonstop to Lime Street. So unless your journey is necessary ...
You'd expect that to be true, yet trains are cancelled on Sundays because of a shortage of train crew.Is that because of lack of volunteers or is the company punishing the strikers?
Today at Huyton ,the 16-42 to Manchester Piccadilly was 323 238.Real Time Trains says it went to Crewe but it was announced as Piccadilly. It was two minutes late and the following train to Blackpool was cancelled (crew shortage).
I went from Roby to Lime Street on a train from Crewe today (on time at 13:13). It arrived at platform 6. No automatic barriers and nobody checking tickets. Will that be normal?
Does anybody know why the buses go such a long way round between Wavertree and Edge Hill? It's almost a mile further than the routes suggested by google maps. (2.2 miles vs 1.3 miles). Are there rules about where the buses stop ?
If you do, be very careful. It was very icy on the pavements between Huyton bus station and Huyton Quarry.Lots of new portals and two by the telephone exchange .They were working by the bus station at 1600.
