An off peak return from Preston.
A similar off peak from Leeds allows use of the 08:57 and I have to pass through Leeds anyway.
(I realise I can just get a £2.40 anytime to Thornaby if needed... It just seems anomalous a longer distance return has off peak starting later than a Leeds return)
Her friends in six months are likely to be colleagues she has hit it off with imo... Constantly leaving them after one drink on a Friday won't build work relationships.
When I lived in Manchester 2012 to 2016 a good one bed apartment in quietish Castlefield was less than £700/month. Getting into the city centre from the west really isn't relaxing...
It appears there aren't any peak restrictions on this flow, but £98.90 is steep without a railcard. Are there any good splitting points? (The travel is for a likely job interview but I don't have times yet - given the journey length I might split over two days with a hotel)
In defence of northern trains...
- virgin west coast are always too hot (24/25 degrees by electronic thermometer)
- on northern you can open windows to get fresh air in (which I do even in winter - WAGS can do one)
On the 07:17 from Preston to New St and there hasn't been a moment of silence from them, utterly ridiculous an d disrespectful.
I know its not the 'Silent Zone' but if you want to gas away constantly why not sit in the standard zone?
Back when I was a student in Aberystwyth, taking the last train back from Newtown.
I woke up in Borth, thinking 'excellent, I've had a nap and can stay out a bit later now...'
Until I realised the carriage was empty and we were going the wrong direction :-/ Apparently would have ended up in...
Serious infrastructure damage events seem to go initially unreported by the MSM while they work out if it has been caused by someone with a "mental illness" and how to spin the story.
