There is no 'fast' service that connects Leeds to the East Midlands. Currently it is just the northern stopper service to Nottingham. A regular 'fast' service from Leeds to say Leics would be welcomed, and will no doubt help with the high passenger load on XC going north at Sheffield.
Yes in line with Nick66. Here is an example from transpennine express. It is much handier then opening the app and finding your ticket, and brightness is automatically changed so that it actually reads first time at the barrier.
Hi,
Does anyone know which operators support Apple wallet integration?
I believe virgin west coast do, and found out last week that transpennine express also support it.
Not sure if this has been previously discussed, but on the wharfedale line (twice this week in my experience) have used a pacer on wednesday and sprinter today.
Are the class 333's preoccupied elsewhere?
Cross country definitely needs an extra train per hour between Leeds and B'ham.
- We are currently lacking a rail operator that connects the north east and west Yorkshire to the east midlands. Cross Country should fulfil this and apply for track access for a new Newcastle to B'ham (via Leeds...

-extra "fast services" from leeds...

If I get a Leeds to Newcastle day return train - am I allowed to break my journey at York and Darlington.
In effect I want to go
Leeds to York
York to Darlington
Darlington to Newcastle
Newcastle to Leeds
I would like to see double voyagers cater for peak times across the whole route, not just Birmingham new street
Also 2 trains per hour leeds to birmingham... maybe via Leicester if it is feasible.

By the time we get into Leeds, the platform is heaving, however generally it is ok if there is a double set. With a single set however, I can imagine many...
Hi, I have faced the same problem, where I am traveling from Leeds to Leicester, but the the journey planners always show a change at sheffield, however if i change at derby, it is cheaper. To get round this, I use the fare bands to find the cheaper rate.
Hello all,
Recently I have noticed that cross country advance fares become cheaper on the day of travel, compared to the day before. It appears that all cross country fares become a set price . e.g. Leeds to Darlington, was around £16-18 (with railcard) before today, now is £14 (with...
