Hi Phil, Is there a bridge in place to take the railway over the canal I've seen on the google map. If there is, is the bridge Ok or will it have to be replaced? Thanks again for your reports.

Thanks for the info guys. It seems a shame that the timetable is not going to realise the true potential of the electrics, after all one of the raisons d'etre for electrification is to decrease time between towns and citys.I know there are other benefits - less track wear, ease of maintenance...

Going slightly off topic, can I ask how the 319s are doing ie servicability, public feed back and have they changed the timetables yet to reflect their faster acceleration etc. Thanks again to everybody who have been out and about supplying reports and LDECRexile for keeping the photos etc up to...

Thanks again for your report and pictures Phil. Is it really true that the project will be taking 2-5 years ? I know it's a quite big job for a presevation society but they've got the money from supporters etc haven't they? Isn't most of the work is being done by contractors?

Thanks be for the end of the longest smash and grab raid in Welsh history. I. K. Brunel built the London - Bristol line faster and for less money:). Do you think they will have the cheek to ask for extra to renew the old jointed track?:)
