    Govia get Thameslink Franchise

How do you know this? I heard that there will be separate route directors, which is certainly different to the current setup. I'm reasonably sure everything at station level will be similar but I'm interested in the head office (in particular Finance).

    Govia get Thameslink Franchise

So, with a week to go, does anybody have much of an idea of how GTR will be structured in terms of organisation? We currently have: CEO - Charles Horton CFO - Wilma Allan COO - Dyan Crowther HR Director - Andy Bindon Engineering Director - Gerry McFadden Programme Director - Keith Wallace...

Rumour: First to win thameslink/southern/great northern

I completely disagree with your comment about Southern. In what way are Southern's management going around as if they have already won it?

Rumour: First to win thameslink/southern/great northern

Announcement must be imminent now, surely? I haven't heard a squeak in terms of who may win it.

Rumour: First to win thameslink/southern/great northern

As with all bidding processes, there's bound to be rumours. I'm under the impression that it is still anyone's to be won. I don't believe these completely unsubstantiated rumours about First. The government should base their decision solely on the quality of the bid submitted, regardless of how...

All change at the top of Southern

It is very questionable timing. However, it is definitely a great career move for Chris. I hope people don't start speculating too much otherwise everyone will start to jump ship! Two directors have already left the executive board (albeit through retiring).

Thameslink Southern & Great Northern Franchise

That is probably it then. In which case I don't think that would have any repercussions with regards to the bid.

Thameslink Southern & Great Northern Franchise

I heard that one of the top guys at MTR has resigned. Not sure if there's any truth in that though. If there is, then I imagine it means they are out of contention.

Thameslink Southern & Great Northern Franchise

So, at the prospect of the largest UK TOC emerging in a year or so's time, most of the debate has been around livery?! :P. Does anyone have any more updates on how the bidding is going?

    Cross-TOC Ticket Acceptance

I suppose it has to be based on the scale of the delays and the ability to use alternative services (from the same TOC). If you're severely delayed on Southern and the only other possible train to get is FCC, then ticket acceptance should begin then. When it gets to the point where other...

    What is your career goal?

Any particular reason for wanting to switch away from Southern? I imagine it is probably less stressful driving across the Virgin routes but I could be wrong.

    What is your career goal?

What sort of role do you currently have and where do you aspire to be? Do you plan to stay in the railway industry? If so, what are your reasons? Apologies for the barrage of questions. I'm very new to the railway, so I'm interested to hear people's opinions. Thanks.

For those awaiting a reply from Southern

I never realised so many people apply to be a trainee driver!
